About

The Museum Collection Centre is the main store for Birmingham Museums, holding around a million items. With only a small percentage of collections on display at Birmingham Museums, or on loan to other organisations, it is the only place to see collection items not normally on display.

It is open for the public to explore on Wednesday afternoons only. Pre-booking is essential.

Your Museums, Your Move

We have officially launched our major fundraising campaign to protect and deliver bold ambitions for the city’s cultural heritage.

The campaign, Your Museums, Your Move: It takes a city to save a story, aims to raise at least two million pounds over the next two years. Find out how you can support us.

Watch our new video by poet Bradley Taylor, who has created a powerful piece for this campaign celebrating Birmingham Museums.
