Craft & Culture is a cafe by day and bar by night
It will host a regular events programme and be available for private hire
Opening to the public on Thursday 7 May 2026.

A new café bar and community space has opened at the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter on Thursday 7 May.
Craft & Culture, on the ground floor of the museum building in Vyse Street in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, has been designed to evolve from a café by day to an evening bar.
During the day the café serves speciality coffee in a social and work-friendly environment, with a thoughtfully curated wine list and craft beer selection on offer in the evening.
Customers can also order in food from their favourite local restaurants to enjoy alongside their coffee or evening drinks.
It will be host to a regular programme of events including beer and wine tastings, jewellery and creative workshops and collaborations with guest makers and artists.
The space is also available to hire for private events such as birthdays, baby showers, creative group experiences and corporate networking events.
Kingston Myles, director of enterprise and innovation at Birmingham Museums Trust, said:
“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our new café bar. We had originally hoped to open in April, but we needed a little extra time to finish preparing the space.
“Our vision is to create a place where people can connect, discover and celebrate and for Craft & Culture to become a social hub for residents, workers, businesses and visitors to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.”
Craft & Culture will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00 am until late from Thursday 7 May 2026.
