Birmingham Museums is pleased to announce the opening of a new café bar and community space in the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter.

Reflecting the cultural heritage of the Jewellery Quarter, the new cafe bar will be opening on the ground floor of the building in Vyse Street on Thursday 2 April.

It is being designed to evolve from a café in the day, serving speciality coffee in a social and work-friendly environment, to an evening bar with a thoughtfully curated wine list and craft beer selection.

Customers will also be able to order in food from their favourite local restaurants to enjoy alongside their coffee or evening drinks.

The venue will be host to a regular programme of events including beer and wine tastings, jewellery and creative workshops and collaborations with guest makers and artists.

It will also be available to hire for private events such as birthdays, baby showers, creative group experiences and corporate networking events.

Kingston Myles, director of enterprise and innovation at Birmingham Museums Trust, said:

“We are excited to welcome everyone to our new café bar when it opens in April.

“Our vision is for Craft & Culture to become a social hub for residents, workers, businesses and visitors to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, by creating a welcoming communal space where people can connect, discover and celebrate.”

Craft & Culture will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00 am to 12 midnight from Thursday 2 April 2026.
