Thinktank is open from 10am - 5pm 7 days a week (including bank holidays) with last admission at 4pm.
Planetarium Temporary Closure
The Planetarium will be closed from 18th March to 13th April (inclusive) for refurbishment and to install a brand new system.
Our new 4k planetarium - the only one of its kind in the West Midlands - will open in time for Easter and visitors will be able to experience a much brighter, sharper image and crystal clear surround-sound, plus amazing new shows.
Prices do not include entrance to the Planetarium.

There is an adult and toddler (3-5 years old) ticket offer for just £15, valid from Monday to Friday during Birmingham term time only. Book your Adult and Toddler tickets.
The Science Garden is free every day from 3pm, with varying closing times in winter due to light levels. The earliest the garden will close during the winter period is 4pm.
Visit Thinktank for £3 per person after 3pm on weekdays during term-time.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Children aged 13-15 are not allowed unaccompanied without parental/guardian consent, please download the consent form.

Please be aware of following road closures around Thinktank due to HS2. These closures may affect your journey to us:

- Curzon Street - 25 April to 10 May and 13 May to 20 May

Thinktank is situated within Millennium Point, Digbeth, which is just minutes from Birmingham City Centre and The Bullring. The nearest motorways are the M6, M5 and M42.
The closest car park to Thinktank is the Millennium Point multi-storey car park located on Jennens Road which is operated by Birmingham City Council (charges apply). For google maps and Sat Nav use postcode B4 7AP. Blue Badge holders can park for free, there are 20 blue badge bays within the car park and the maximum height restriction for the car park is 2.1 metres.
The Millennium Point building is approximately 20 meters from the multi-story car park and from Level 1 and Level 2 of the multi-story car park there is step free access into Millennium Point. Thinktank’s main entrance is located on Level 2 of Millennium Point.
The nearest train station is Moor Street station (10 minutes walk away). Turn right upon leaving Moor St Station, just before the Clayton Hotel (formerly Hotel LaTour,) veer right to enter the City Park. Walk through the Park, past the Science Garden and in through the entrance of Millennium Point.
New Street Station (15 minutes walk away). Due to the redevelopment of Birmingham New Street station, changes have been made to the entrance/exit points. From New Street Station follow clear signage to Moor Street Station (approx 5 minutes walk) then follow directions above.
