Join acclaimed Birmingham artist Milan Topalovic for a unique, hands-on workshop where you’ll be guided step-by-step in drawing your very own portrait of midlands comic legends and recreating Andy Hollingworth's iconic shots onto canvas.
Choose your muse from Brummie legends, Joe Lycett or Rik Mayall.
Milan will share techniques, offering personalised, one-to-one tips and live demonstrations to help bring your artwork to life.
With a background in both traditional portraiture and illustration, Milan was commissioned to produce our exclusive 'Ozzy Takes BMAG' art print, celebrating Working Class Hero, the world's first Ozzy Osbourne exhibition at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, this is your chance to create something truly special in a friendly, inspiring setting.
All materials are provided - simply bring your curiosity, creativity, and a joke up your sleeve.
The event includes entry to our I Photograph Comediansexhibition by photographer Andy Hollingworth.
The exhibition features nearly 80 images, including studio portraits, rare contemplative moments off-stage and live stage performances. It also features comedy memorabilia including a signed pair of Rik Mayall’s underpants and photographs of iconic objects such as Billy Connolly’s banana boots.
