About Frightful Fungi at Sarehole Mill
This Halloween, step into the woods and explore what's growing underfoot
Join our Natural Sciences Curator, Lukas Large, on a two-hour guided walk starting at Sarehole Mill and exploring the magical world of fungi in Moseley Bog. Discover how fungi can thrive in the most unexpected places – even here in Birmingham – and hear fascinating stories about the species that grow in this ancient woodland.
With a sprinkle of Halloween mystery, it’s the perfect seasonal walk for curious minds of all ages - book your tickets below.
As a little extra on the day, Lukas will also be hosting a free, informal drop-in session at Sarehole Mill from 11am–1pm before the walk – the ideal chance to chat and learn more about fungi at your own pace.
