Aston Hall is a spectacular Jacobean Manor House just a few miles from Birmingham City Centre. An oasis of calm in the busy city, with 400 years of history join us for a guided tour of the Hall.

Hear stories from the past and immerse yourself in history, as you learn about the people who lived here and explore the marvellous architecture and decoration.

Join us for a fascinating insight into the role Aston Hall played in the English Civil War and why we have cannon ball damage on our Grand Staircase!

Come along for our Folklores and Superstitions tour, from witches marks to ghostly goings on. We will be spotlighting our hexiform, a charm to keep witches at bay! Learn about herbs, how to prevent nasty spirits and also some of the beliefs of those who would have lived in The Grand Old Mansion. 

The tour is family friendly but as we will talk about some adult themes, visitor discretion is advisable.

The men of Aston Hall may have written their names in history, but it was a house populated primarily by women! From the various heiresses that helped rescue and bolster the fortunes of the Holte family, to the servants that made the house a home, this tour will dive deep into the lives of the various wives, mothers, daughters, housekeepers, and maids that forged the legacy of the name Holte.
