About Astonishingly Aston Friday Tour
Join us on Fridays for guided tour of Aston Hall with a changing schedule of exciting and interesting tours, including our standard tour, Aston under siege tour, folklores and superstitions tour and our new Servant’s Life Tour.
Tours take place on Fridays at 12noon are included in your admission price.
Pre-booking is recommended to guarantee your place on the tour. When you book your admission tickets, you'll have the option to book a tour add-on ticket on the next webpage.
About the tours
Standard Tour of Aston Hall
Aston Hall is a spectacular Jacobean Manor House just a few miles from Birmingham City Centre. An oasis of calm in the busy city, with 400 years of history join us for a guided tour of the Hall.
Hear stories from the past and immerse yourself in history, as you learn about the people who lived here and explore the marvellous architecture and decoration.
Dates: 5 June, 19 June, 17 July.
Aston Under Siege Tour
Join us for a fascinating insight into the role Aston Hall played in the English Civil War and why we have cannon ball damage on our Grand Staircase!
We will also have handling tables, room spotlights and more, so come along, be curious and uncover the wonderful history of this 17th century gem!
Dates: 26 June.
Folklores and Superstitions Tour
Come along for our Folklores and Superstitions tour, from witches marks to ghostly goings on. We will be spotlighting our hexiform, a charm to keep witches at bay! Learn about herbs, how to prevent nasty spirits and also some of the beliefs of those who would have lived in The Grand Old Mansion.
The tour is family friendly but as we will talk about some adult themes, visitor discretion is advisable.

A Servant’s Life Tour
Step away from the luxuries of the Grand Old Mansion and learn about the people who kept Aston Hall running. From butlers to dairy maids and cooks to coachmen, we will explore the lives of those who worked for the Holte family and what it took to maintain Aston Hall
Dates: 24 July.
Accessibility: Aston Hall is not fully accessible to wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties. The ground floor of Aston Hall is accessible to all visitors. However, the upper floors are accessed by stairs only, there is no lift due to the Grade 1 listed status of the building. For more details see the accessibility information.
