This September marks 25 years of Thinktank, and we’re celebrating with a whole weekend of science, creativity and birthday fun for the whole family. Join us across Saturday and Sunday for special activities throughout the museum, help us look back at 25 years of Thinktank memories and, of course, join in the birthday celebrations!

• Tat-Vision - Junk Modelling
  What can you create from everyday materials? Let your imagination loose and turn something ordinary into an extraordinary creation.
• Science Magician
  Prepare for science with a touch of magic! Catch our Science Magician for fun and interactive demonstrations filled with surprises.
• 25 Years Under the Sun – Saturday only
  Join Birmingham Astronomical Society in the Science Garden for some solar observing and discover more about our closest star. Did you know that the Sun takes around 25 Earth days to rotate at its equator? A fitting bit of solar science for our 25th birthday!
• Build Thinktank a Birthday Cake
  It wouldn’t be a birthday without cake! Get creative with LEGO DUPLO and help us celebrate by building your very own birthday cake creation.
• 25 Years of Thinktank Memories 
  Were you here when Thinktank first opened? Do you remember your first visit, a favourite gallery or a brilliant day out with the family? Add your own memory to our timeline as we journey from Thinktank’s opening in 2001 right through to today.
• Make Your Own Party Hat
  Every birthday party needs a party hat! Design and decorate your own before wearing it around the museum for the celebrations.
• Birthday Party Hat Trail
  There are party hats to find around Thinktank! Explore the museum, follow our special birthday trail and see if you can spot them all.

• Come dressed for the occasion!
  It’s a birthday party, after all! Come to Thinktank dressed up for the celebrations and collect a special birthday goody bag from the ticket desk.
