Children aged 9+ and their families are invited to see artwork at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery in a whole new light this February half term. Art School… in a trail! is a free spotter trail from Kids in Museums and Hachette, celebrating the release of Art School (in a book), an exciting introduction to the world of contemporary art for young creatives from the makers of hit podcast Talk Art, actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament.

Enjoy a traditional museum and gallery spotter trail with a fun twist – each stop unlocks a creative mission designed to help you look at and chat about the artwork in the museum collections in fun new ways. Complete the activity sheet to receive your Art School sticker!

There’s also a special drawing competition. Share your artwork on Instagram or BlueSky with the hashtag #ArtSchoolTrail and tag @kidsinmuseums for a chance to win some fantastic prizes, including a Double National Art Pass Plus Kids and a signed copy of Art School (in a book)!
