About Black Sabbath Celebration Week

Discover a week of varied activities designed for different interests and creative styles. Each day offers something unique, ranging from guided exhibition highlights to hands‑on making sessions and live demonstrations.
Enjoy informal tour experiences led by our visitor engagement team, offering fresh perspectives on the Ozzy Osbourne (1948-2025): Working Class Hero.

  • Take part in a live creative demonstration, where you can watch a specialist at work and even make your own item to take home.
  • Experience our regular programming, such as Marvellous Makers, with a specific focus on Black Sabbath, a mix of music and relaxed crafting, perfect for anyone looking to unwind or explore something new.
  • Drop into a simple making activity where you can personalise a small item to keep.
  • Celebrate the sounds of the city from the exceptional students of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire ,the Jezt String Quartet.
