About Dino Lab!

Step into the Science Garden and travel back millions of years at our exciting Dino Lab experience!

Become a fossil hunter as you create your very own dinosaur trackway. Using dinosaur footprints, you’ll design a prehistoric pathway and discover how scientists interpret the clues left behind by dinosaurs long ago.

Get hands-on with our fossil handling collection and have a go at digging for fossils in our sand pit.

Messy. Creative. Educational.

Roars of fun for the whole family.

Perfect for curious kids and grown-ups alike — come and dig into the past with us!

Event Information

  • Two drop-in sessions at 11am-12:30pm and 2pm-3:30pm.
  • Activity runs daily during May half term (Mon 25th to Friday 29th May) and Summer holidays (Mon 20st July to Fri 28th Aug).
  • Location: Thinktank Science Garden (subject to weather).
  • Included in the admission price.
