Hidden Spaces: A Christmas Carol
Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery Selected Thursday and Saturdays BookAbout Hidden Spaces: A Christmas Carol
In the Victorian Era no Christmas was complete without a haunting tale. This tour continues that time honoured tradition in the city where A Christmas Carol was first read aloud by Charles Dickens.
In this special Christmas edition of our Hidden Spaces tour, we are traveling through the past, present, and future of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, exploring our open galleries as well as getting a behind the scenes look at galleries that are currently closed for renovation.
Join us as we delve into the history of the various wintertime celebrations that have taken place through the ages, and look at the pieces of our collection that embody the spirit of Christmas. We might even be joined by a few of our resident ghosts, who we hear are feeling particularly festive this year...
